Privacy

netwy is an event-centric professional networking product. We collect only the data needed to authenticate users, operate event networking, preserve accepted professional contacts, protect the service, and deliver optional notifications.

Data we process

Account and professional profile data may include your LinkedIn identity reference, name, photo, title, company, location, LinkedIn profile URL, optional bio and optional notification email. Event-specific data includes roles, the people types you want to meet, custom event answers, access status, connection requests, accepted Contacts, event-scoped messages, blocks and reports.

How event data is used

Your event roles, the people types you want to meet, and configured optional matching context are used to calculate deterministic networking relevance. netwy does not use an AI recommendation model in the MVP and does not publish private attendee directories to search engines.

Messages

Messages are private to the event-scoped conversation participants and authorized moderation/security paths. Organizer analytics use counts only and never use message body text as an analytics input. Push notifications for messages do not contain the private message body.

Notifications and devices

Web Push is optional and requested only after an explicit user action. Push subscription identifiers are stored only to deliver notifications and are revoked on logout, account switching or invalid-provider responses. Optional email fallback is off by default and requires explicit opt-in.

External event registration

For externally paid events, registration or payment occurs on the organizer’s external service. netwy does not process or represent payment confirmation in the MVP.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your netwy account from Me. If you are the sole owner of an active organization, ownership must first be transferred so active events are not orphaned. Account deletion removes the authentication account and cascaded netwy profile data; audit/aggregate records may retain de-identified operational facts where database relationships are configured to remove the user reference.

Processors and international transfers

netwy may rely on infrastructure and service providers such as Supabase, Vercel, LinkedIn authentication, Web Push delivery and, when enabled, an email delivery provider. The final production legal notice must name the operating legal entity, applicable processors, regions, lawful bases, retention periods and contact details.

Your rights and contact

Before a public production launch, the operator must complete jurisdiction-specific legal review and publish the legal entity/privacy contact details applicable to the pilot.
